Siriporn Nuchampan are guardians of "SOLO", one year and four
month old male Golden Retriever, "SOLO" has passed the Guarding
Dog course, Sch H I (B) in the guard dog competition for the
10/2000 semester or September 3, 1999. It scored 87/100.
The competition was chaired by Maj. Paiboon
Yamussatien, the Vice Secretary General to GDAT. (the

The reason to
send "SOLO" to school?
"He is growing everyday, I
wanted him to be a dog of good discipline; that's why I sent him
to school. I thought of doing the training myself by
buying some dog training books and tried. But it seemed
that I was hopeless at it. Just have no sense in doing it!
The reason for having chosen K9 Pattaya was its reputation.
The school is famous and seems to be of international standard.
And K9 Pattaya's training methodology doesn't rely on training
by rewarding dogs with food, because this method makes dogs very
vulnerable to being easily poisoned. What I do expected
out of the training was that my dog could use its brain, not
just get trained for shows. So I believe I made a good
choice. And also whenever I come to Pattaya, everyone
mentions K9 Pattaya all the times. Even my Danish boss does know
about K9 Pattaya."
How was "SOLO"
is behavior before he was sent to school here?
"He was such a naughty dog!
Digging up things,roaming running around just like a young kid.
He would pay no attention to any one entering the house.
But one good thing about him was that he wouldn't bite other
dogs. He would stay quiet. I loved him like my own
child, for we didn't have any children back then. When he
was a puppy, I wouldn't let him sleep in the house or in
our bedroom. After he was trained, he started eating the
instant dog food. (pellet type) He got to take warm bath slept
on our bed under the same blanket with us. This was
stress-relieving, it's his charms. To get to play with
him, I feel like I was relieved and am able to come up with new
ideas. My wife said that it's good to have him as a
friend."
What do you get
out of his training at K9 Pattaya?
"He's become more adorable and
more capable of thinking by himself. When he's with other dogs
in the house, he wouldn't be naughty. He would lead other
dogs by following my commands and the other two dogs would
follow as well. When we go jogging, he would run along and
this never happened before. When we go upcountry he will
also go with us, these are the results of the training."
How credible is
the public relations works by K9?
"I believe it's very credible
because of my own experience. I used to be jealous those
who sent their dogs to K9 for
training. Dogs are able to communicate with them. I
used to have this question, why couldn't my dog be like that.
That's one of many reasons why I send "SOLO" there. This
was the first time and it won't be the last time that we send
our dogs for training at K9 Pattaya. They have done so
many great things for us. I dare confirm to anyone that
this place is good and would like to recommend it to other dog
lovers to see and experience in what you and I haven't
experience before."
